Boy Oh Boyers

Well, it's blurry but probably official: Rowan has taken his first step. It wasn't between Mommy and Daddy, but rather between a dining chair and the wall of his superyard. I was a few feet away while Rowan was holding onto the dining chair I had tipped for him, and he spied a toy he wanted that was a couple of feet away near the wall of the superyard. He eyed up the distance, stepped as far from the chair as he possibly could while still holding on with one arm, reached out his other arm toward the superyard, and took one step across the carpet before reaching the superyard to stabilize himself again! One single unassisted step. He repeated the feat later between the coffee table and the sofa.

Just to make this little update complete, no, he is not crawling yet.
