Yesterday afternoon I walked downstairs to take a break from my work, and I saw Rowan and Grandmommy in the kitchen focused intently on Grandmommy's palm. I was curious as to what was going on, and as I got closer I heard Grandmommy say, "cinnamon", and Rowan repeat, "ci-ma". Then he pressed his finger to her palm and put a cinnamon-covered finger into his mouth! It turns out they had been tasting "ci-ma", "co-co" (Unsweetened cocoa powder!?), "bay" (Basil), and probably some other things she neglected to mention. Ah well, it's all in the name of learning!
